the heart of well-balanced performance is correct
gearing. With the limited amount of significant
performance-producing products out there, gears and
Nitrous Oxide Systems are the two friendliest bolt-on's
and, believed to be the best "bang for the buck" and
"time spent on installation".

Roadrage Gears are specifically designed for
Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth FRT Drive cars equipped
with what was originally called the 604 Automatic
Overdrive and renamed 41TE....and possibly something
else since. They are found in a multitude of
cars...PT Cruiser, Stealth, Neon, Avenger, Mini Vans
etc.
These
gears can be changed out in 20-30 minutes with
practice, however, it is advised to spend more time
on the first installation to familiarize yourself
with the procedures paying close attention to the
few, but important, details involved.
The
customer can install these gears for the race track
and remove them for normal operation. The bi-product
of using the gears is that they will NOT affect gas
mileage in town but will on the highway. MPH reading
will most often read in the area of 10 mph fast and
these gears do ad a touch of geardrive noise.

transmission shop install the gears or recruit an
experienced transmission mechanic to help.
Roadrage Gears wants
everyone to be safe and have fun! The gap of few
good bolt-on performance parts are limited and gears
help to "bridge the gap". Your final ratio can be
easily checked but most commonly range from 4.40 -
4.70 to 1 final.

TRANSMISSION BEARING TEMP SLOWLY CLIMBS PUTTING AT
RISK EXCESSIVE BEARING HEAT AND THEN FAILURE...MOST
ALL THESE RISKS ARE SOLVED WITH A GOOD REBUILDER
USING UPDATED TORRINGTON BEARING AND ALL THE OTHER
AVAILABLE UPDATES FOR THE 604 UNIT.
